FUEL PRICES JUST GETTING RIDICULOUS

Other forums all saying how bad the fuel prices are, nobody actually doing anything.
One way is to join the block on use of main fuel suppliers, Shell, BP etc and try and use just the Tescos and Asda ones where you can get fuel saver prices ie 5p off a litre. This will hit the major manufacturers hard if it is a sustained project for say a week or even better a month. There is something happening on 1st April and this could be the starting date.

I don't drive to work, commute in by train.
Had to drop my car for a service at garage around the M25 the other morning, 6.40am I hit the M25 and it was rammed, ridiculous.
Fuel price clearly not a big impact for most people.
I paid £1.36 for super at Tesco's the other day, although generally I don't even look at the price anymore.
The budget (2 weeks time) contains another 2p duty rise, although I think this is likely to be postponed.

What is the point of refusing to buy petrol from a major supplier. Everybody (well most of us) know that petrol
costs less than 50pence per litre to produce. The price we pay at the pump, forgetting the pennies profit a filling
station makes per litre is mostly tax. The government make 75% tax on the cost we pay.
The only way pump price is going to reduce if if the bean counters at Westminster reduce the tax, and we all know
that is not going to happen. They basically have us over a barrel.

It's simply a case that for most people THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION but to use a car.Fuel price clearly not a big impact for most people.
Unless you live near work or live and work in a city public transport simply doesn't work.
There was a thread a while ago when the Gov't put up a website to show the public transport options to get you to work.
3hrs to do a 30min journey in a car was common as was £20 bill to get to work.
