What do you have nestled away or proudly adorning your mantlepiece?
Do you have one of Senna's racing shoes gathering dust in your loft? A valve cap stolen from the first car you saw as a child that you fell in love with? A dusty Citroen 2cv once owned by Prince Rainier of Monaco? - or a dog eared photo signed by your childhood hero??
Ive got a pretty decent publicity photo of the 94 season Lotus F1 car with Johnny Herbert and Alessandro Zanardi and each of their signatures - a gift from my father when I was 7, he had an Elan+2 and we were massive Lotus fans. No idea how he managed to get it though! It used to hang up in my bedroom then when I moved house when I was 13 it was packed and forgotten about - until I dug it out the other week and put it up again.
I know its not much and hopefully other people will have more interesting things, but I like it.

I've also got a limited edition Graham Turner print of the 1959 Aston Martin DBR1 which is signed by Graham Turner, Roy Salvadori and David Brown which I'm quite proud of, and a few other signatures tucked away in books - Mario Andretti, Stirling Moss, Tom Wheatcroft, Martin Brundle, Adrian Newey. Should dig them out really as I can't remember what I've got now.

I have the winner's Laurels from a driver that I spannered for who died recently. No monetary value, but massive sentimental value.
I have a 5th edition Cosworth biography which is signed by Keith Duckworth, Mike Costin and Ben Rood.
Tucked away in the garage I have the car that Damon Hill won his first race in.

I have nothing, yes that's right, absolutely nothing.
I did have original McLaren F1 badges and pedals, unused, and a signed Nigel Mansell shirt along with various other signed books/posters from the late 80's/early 90's but by house caught fire in 1997 and I lost pretty much everything I owned.
I don't collect anything anymore as nothing has sentimental value and what I own now is just "stuff".

Got a couple of signed Mansell autobiographies & a signed Carl Fogarty autobiography which his wife also signed for me as well. Mrs F rarely signs anything (why should she?) however i was at a book signing so managed to get her to sign the book as well.
My mum has a lot of signed Mansell stuff - photo's, paintings, models & a signed helmet from his first stint at Williams - along with a couple of signed Piquet photo's as well.
I did have the nose cone from a Lotus 92 - in JPS colours - however my b
h of an ex-wife threw it out after i left her for someone else.....

For a moment there Saab Itch thought you was going to say you had Damon's 900 16 Turbo. I've been trying to find a pic of it for years, so my heart missed a beat thinking you had the car itself when your post popped up. Of course it was not to be though. Never mind.
