Colour Fade

Either the colour has faded or there is something "on" the paintwork just below my drivers window, patch along about 4" down.

Tried T Cut which had very short term effect on it.

Any other recommendations?
Autoglym Super Resin Polish will be my next try...

We used autoglym colour restorer on a faded astra, followed by the 2 autoglym polishes (high gloss and the super res I think)

Worked out really well

A few layers of Autoglym SRP and then topping it off with some wax should do the trick

Think this is what I will try tomorrow morning, weather permitting. Have both AG SRP and some Turtle Wax speed wax stuff. Get it all shined and then up for sale and buy a real car again

Well with my landlord in doing the bathroom this weekend, I was up bright and early so by 10am I was getting ready to go down to the car...



As you can see the fade is pretty bad, almost like there was something "on" the paint. I had been at it with both T-Cut and coloured polish before which seemed to give temporary benefit.




Ahhh the white dust reminded me why AG SRP is not my favourite to use...



I gave it three good coats of polish and and a coat of Turtle Wax Extreme Speed Wax...




All good and I'll clean up the trim and its now in the classifieds

Looks like you've done a good job. If you ever need to do this again, try a couple of coats of Auto autoglym paint renovator before polishing up with Autoglym SRP. It really is amzing stuff and it only costs about £6-£7
