Integra DC5...

Evening all..

The OH is keen on a lovely DC5 we have seen near us but we cannot find anywhere online to quote for one??

She just wants to know if it is ridiculous and she shouldn't even look, or whether it would be worth a further look.

Anyone know why? None of the companies I have looked at so far have even listed Integra's other than the DC2.

Import only if I am not mistaken. They are pretty dear to insure!

The standard spec ones are bad enough to ensure for what they are, and the Type R ones attract fairly high premiums too. The insurers recognise them for what they are, a sports coupe that needs to be driven hard to get the best out of it. That comes with a fair risk, and thus a fair price.

I was getting quotes for one for about half what a DC2 was to insure, they were just too dear at the time though for a nice one 10k ish.

Drive pretty well, good engine and all that jazz. A civic Type R but sportier looking.

Better to call up one of those insurance companies that specialise in imports.

Try the DC5 owners club, they could probably point you in the right direction.

dont think they are bad to insure.. Its just a matter of finding the right companies

Thanks for all the comments.. Looking on the owners club forum, insurance doesn't seem too mad!

Unfortunately not many specialists quote online so will have to give them a call I suppose...

I had mine covered with Admiral, they were very competitive.

Also try A-Plan.
