ebay etiquette?

Hey,

I just had an auction finish on my austin mini.

The car is spares/repair and will need to be collected on a trailer - the description and pictures make that clear.
My query is, do I ask for payment via paypal up front before he comes to collect or does he have the right not to take it should he come and see it and change his mind - and therefore not make a payment up front?

Deposit via paypal then the rest when they collect. They are bidding to buy, not view so if they're not happy with something clearly laid out in the description it's tough.

Get a deposit. The amount of messers on Ebay now sellers can't leave negative feedback for buyers is untrue.

I sold a brand new unmarked brushed steel kitchen tap in early February. The buyer has emailed me this week (6 weeks after receipt) saying it has 'small scratches' on it want wants a refund but wont return the tap because it will 'cost' them in return postage (i.e they want to keep it and the money). I thus get a negative and can't leave negative in return
