New exhaust system for R8 V8

Hi,

I want to change the existing system with tubi or something similar.

Here are my questions:

- Does it affect the re-sale value ?
- Do i have to inform my insurance company ?
- Does it do any harm (shortening the engine life ?)
- Does it affect the warranty provided by Audi ?
- Can you suggest a good place in west london area who can under take such work ?

The best exhaust for the R8 V8 is the Milltek in my opinion. Their website has some videos, which may not give the full experience, but certainly give you an idea...

1. Probably. It will not increase the value of the car by however much you pay for it, quite possibly the reverse, as buyers of a car like this probably want as standard a model as possible, even if the exhaust is "better" than the one it came with.

2. Yes. They may or may not increase your premium, but if you modify and don't declare it, they will probably clock it and consider your insurance invalid, should they ever have to inspect your car.

3. Unlikely.

4. Almost certainly will invalidate the warranty, they will do everything they can to avoid paying out and modifying the car will, in their eyes, make it less reliable and higher risk (none of which is their fault) and therefore they should not have to foot your bills.

5. Don't live in London, cannot help with this one.
