V-Power Diesel - Made from Gas-to-Liquid?

OK so sadboy here's got a new car and it's a Diesel, so I've been doing some digging on the diesel equivalent of "unleaded or super".
I get the whole additives/cleaning argument about premium diesel - but one thing I read that I don't really understand, hence the post, is that apparently v-power diesel is made from liquid gas whereas normal diesel is made from regular crude.
I've seen it mentioned a few places, and it's gone over my head a little, but I'm curious what it means at a (noddy) chemical level?
