A14 closed yesterday?

Does anyone know how long the A14 was closed for yesterday Saturday 26/3/11? It was closed between the M6 & junction 1 due to an accident involving a motorcycle. I have googled but can't find anything. The first I heard it was closed was about 1pm, but I don't know when it reopened.

Wasn't very long - 2 hours perhaps? White van man seems to have pulled into the side of him and shoulder-charged him into the central reservation.

Wrong - Woman riding a trike was killed when she was cut up and lost control, went down the verge and hit a fence. It was closed for about 2 hours to allow collision investigation complete there work.

Interesting. I was driving from Leamington Spa to Ipswich (M6 -> A14) yesterday. Set off about 2pm and didn't see anything at all!

It happened on Saturday, I was one of the people involved with closing the A14.

Damn, only two hours means that I took a rather long diversion for nothing as the Saturday traffic alerts seem to be far & few between. Terrible shame about the lady on the trike, news like that always makes me realise that you never know what could happen at any moment on our roads.
