Some friends are selling one, dont know much about it yet but its a MK1 Coupe, think its a 225.
Have always loved how they look and am aware of some of the image "issues" but I think they have aged nicely and look better than the MK2, I know they arent meant to be the last word in involvement but then again I have a Saab 9-3 at the moment which I couldnt call exciting either.
Kind of thinking I might give it a go if its any good as can always sell it as they seem to be still fairly sought after and seem to hold their money, is this actually the case or are they a nightmare to move on, am kind of hoping if its six grand it will not depreciate greatly as they seem to be getting to a kind of new classic status or am I talkign out of my bottom, is it just an old woofer that will dwindle to nothing (like my Saab), sort of thinking that the costs will be the same for insurance, tax and fuel but not depreciate much ?
Anything to watch for, apart from the coil packs and instruments.
Would get it remapped as well, any suggestions, am thinking a remap on the 1.8T engine is quite cheap nowadays.
