Only thing i'm not keen on is the black wheels, which will obviously be changed. Other than that i like it. much more subtle (wheels aside!) than the E60 IMO. Images courtesy of M5board.

Agree, silver (or titanium a la E39 M5) wheels and darker body colour.

Someone clever with Photoshop make that Le Mans blue with silver wheels please :-)

I like it but the engine are/bonnet etc seems to look a bit strange?, not sure why just looks too long and flat.

I love M cars, but that looks like any other F10 with black wheels and 4 exhausts, pity they didn't flare the wheel arches more.

I'm sure it will be a great drive.

Looks very nice indeed, though there's something about that rear that I'm not struck on, perhaps the tail lights.

The E60 M5 is going to take some topping for me, I'm still smitten with them

Visually, very much evolution rather that revolution, shows no new design directions for ///M and non the worse for it.

But weren't the E39 and E60 M5's equally matched to their normal counterparts in the dullness to engine equation.

I'll admit something doesn't look right about it. Almost as if the rear valance should come down lower or something and the front splitter needs to be complete rather than chopped up.

it actually looks MUCH more different than the 3 series than the 5 series did back in the '80s. i don't know why people keep saying things like omg, the new 5 looks like the new 3 etc etc. they always have done.

you're over 30 years too late for saying 3 series looks similar to 5 series...!

Always thought the E60 was so subtle as to be a bit restrained actually.

I think the problem the E60 had was all the models were too fussy (IMO of course). Not a problem with the E39 though. That for me was the perfect M5 - the perfect mix of power and subtlety.
