Do you pay to have your car cleaned?

I gave my Father In Law a lift to the airport Yesterday, he commented on how clean my car was, to which I replied that I'd just been to my Eastern European friends and had them clean it for a fiver (damn good job too), he was absolutely disgusted that I hadn't done it myself.

I used to but when I suffered a knee injury a while ago it just became more convenient to get somebody else to do it.

Once a week £5 a pop, cheap as chips.

Never - especially not automatic car washes or hand car washes which have people using sponges full of stones.

No, I do it myself, find it quite relaxing. That said, it's only been cleaned once this year, and is a dirty, sooty st-tip at the mo. I can understand people who pay a fiver to have it done for them.

P&J always do it myself, the van on the other hand gets given to the local car washers to deal with.

Only the daily driver, the local eastern euros get to rub a gritty mitt over it and spray silicone over every square inch of the interior every two months or so

No I normally do it myself, I am considering getting it done by someone else though. Seems alot easier and saves alot of time.

I do it myself, unless I'm feeling very lazy and the car is very much in need of a clean. Cleaning a car is very therapeutic I find.

I'd do it myself, except the guy next door is renovating at the minute so it's about half an inch deep in plaster dust every morning.

I've been cleaning my cars myself ever since I discovered how the magic wheel cleaning product used by most 5 quid places effed up my diamond cut rims, which I had to have replaced. fking

I haven't paid to have my MX5 cleaned, I couldn't take it to a handwashers as they probably wouldn't know how to clean the roof. I took my Focus to a handwashers in a Tesco car park, they did a good job of cleaning the car but their pressure hose blasted the front mud flaps half off, I never did get them fully reattached before I sold the car!

However, my dad has had a bloke come and wash and valet his Impreza before and he did a fantastic job. I plan to get in touch with him to arrange for him to come and give my car a proper wash and valet and a vinly treatment for the roof.

Yes, same at my local. In fact they do seem to own a fair bit of expensive metal as well!
