Insurance NCB Question

Quick question.

I have two policies both with Full NCB.

I have insured the TVR which was on a full NCB policy, to a classic policy which does not attract a bonus, but they said I could send off the confirmation and they would look after it/keep it valid. They said it would not expire.

Anyone heard of this?

Just don't want to lose the bonus.

My understanding is that it expires after two years. Ask a different insurance company if they would accept a lapsed bonus after (say) five years, perhaps?
