Is it worth weighing in a set of alloys?

I have a set of badly buckled alloys all with tyres on. 2 of the tyres are brand new so I was thinking of taking them to a place that sells part worns and then weighing in the 4 wheels at my local scrapyard. However I have no idea whether it will be worthwhile or I should just take them to the tip. I know alloys are made up of different metals so whether they are any value I have no idea....

I very much doubt that it's worth the effort for, what, 40kg of metal?

Keep the tyres, these will be £5 a go to get removed an chuck them on ebay. As for the wheels my local "" will give me £5 for 13inch wheels up to £15 for a 17inch but in less they are horrifically buckled u'd get more slinging them on ebay to, if you can be assed with the effort.

What alloys are they and how bad is the damage - someone on eBay may find them useful

Took two of my wife's Mini Cooper S 18" alloys (don't ask) to a metal merchant recently. Got £12 each for them.

They are TSW blades, badly buckled enough for me to remove them from the car altogether. I have no idea if they can be straightened or not, I just assumed it wouldn't be worth it.

Invest 1hr in a clean up, couple of pics and decent description.
Onto to Fleabay, 1p start, no reserve.

You may be surprised what someone will want to pay you for them.
