Short Term Breakdown Cover 1 week?

As above is it possible to obtain short term breakdown cover (One week)?

I am not a member of AA or RAC

Looking to hire a minibus from our local council to take the scouts away & they have advised me as I plan to go out of their area, recovery if required will be my responsibility (this is new).

Mini bus is >10 years old so i'd like to take out something if I can find it.
