Just a bit of hypothetical tom foolery. So you've won the lottery and you can afford any car you like. Trouble is the wonderful government have put a limit on only being able to own 1 car each.

So what what do you buy? (and yes I'm bored lol)

Even now, I only ever drive for fun, and anything involving longer than 2 hours of motorway, I take a train (unless driving to a car related destination such as the 'Ring).

Even taking the kids to school (boarding school, as I've won the lottery) can be a hire car job. Shopping? Delivered. Going out at night? Cab. Going shooting during the season? Grab a lift with a chum or borrow one of their 4x4s or rent one.

Reduce the need for car ownership to fun only, say I. If you have the cash, you can get hold of something suitable for other occasions, or simply be driven.
