Different folks find different things odd. Personally I've never understood why so many people find it impossible to take a photo of a car without including a huge shadow of themselves.
Photos like the one in the OP aren't the best way to sell a car but in some ways it can work in a buyer's favour. Some people are so needlessly judgmental that they wouldn't consider viewing a car that's advertised by someone who can't spell or operate a camera.
If, on the other hand, you take the view that these skills have no bearing on whether the vendor has maintained their car; you can often pick up a good car at a bargain price.

^^ I'm one of them. I didn't go to see an R32 recently, only because the owner of the cherished vehicle was trying to punt his beloved metallic purple MK4 R32 (it was DBP). 
Maybe not on some locally advertised site, but on a specialist forum full of enthusiasts? No, I'd like the advert to make sense, at least.
I'm cynical when an advert holder claims to 'cherish' their car so much, but they can't string a few words together, or tell me the true name of the colour of their car...
