tyre pressure holding for months

My rear passenger tyre seems to hold pressure for months on end, other three usually need topping up every month or so. Anyone else experience this? I believe the tyre might have been perfectly mounted, probably at the factory.

I always have a pressure release after a perfect mounting !

Mine vary according to the ambient temperature - as you would expect. I check them once a week, and maybe sooner if it's suddenly got colder and I need to do a serious journey.

The pressures seem to hold up better in the 997 than in the 3 seies and the Cooper S though.

Not that I know of, bought the car at 9 months old, the two passenger side wheels were scuffed so were swapped by dealer with ones from a brand new Jetta. So can only guess it's normal air unless VW factory use nitrogen?

Unlikely its done at the factory as most factories over-inflate the tyres for transport (to stop flat-spotting if sat in a port for months on end) and leave it to the dealer to set the pressures at PDI.

I can't remember when I last had to top up my tyres on any car. Once set they stay good.
