Is this a standard Cooper S or a JCW. It looks most definitely a JCW and the seller seems to think so but BMW are unsure!

A 57 plate car can only be a "dealer fit" JCW, so would have started life as an S and had the JCW stuff added on, rather than the full-fat factory JCW which was launched later.

I'm pretty sure the earliest "factory" JCWs were 08 plates, so I'm thinking its not one of those.

But it could well be a standard S that has been worked over by JCW before they got bought in-house by MINI. So it could be showing on the BMW system as a standard S but still be putting out the higher power.

I'm sorry to say I don't like it - the wing, the chequer dash, the chav seats. Not my thing... But I did enjoy my rather more understated factory JCW.

that looks like a stage 1 JCW, as it has the Cooper S badge on the back. No chilli pack though!
