Girl friend has a wish list for new car

upto £30kish
Coupe
Panoramic roof
Diesel with lowish tax
Auto

Anybody know which cars fit this criteria ?

What are your thoughts ?

Brera SV has a glass roof. It doesn't open though. It has an internal electric blind which you can draw for when it's very hot or very cold. The roof makes a huge difference to the interior. So much so that when I replaced mine I had to have another glass roof or sunroof. I think some Mercs, Astras, Meganes have them too.

Save 5-10k and get a scirocco gttdi170 dsg with panoramic roof. I just sold a 59 plate one for under 20k

Well I considered this, but the £30k requirement and no mention of company car tax sought of threw it out of the window.

Sorry is company car.

Once we have an idea of what's avaiable around that rought price can compare the leasing rates too

A very tax efficient option, but not a coupe is the Alfa Giulietta with the new TCT box (like a DSG). The C02 is very low (on both petrol and diesel). A panoramic opening glass roof is available as an option. However as mentioned above if you can get a Scirocco with a glass roof that may well be the most sensible option to tick all your requirements.
