Do you know what car magazine is the cheapest one? Auto Express?

Auto Express - £2.25 a week - £2.75 for their frequent specials.
Autocar - £2.80 a week, £4.35 for their specials
Evo - £4.40 per month
Top Gear - £3.95 per month.

Subscriptions tend to be a lot cheaper though with loads of introductory offers. I think I got 6 months of AE for £20 by signing up at one of the motorshows.

Exactly my thoughts. Not exactly the best criteria.

I'm sure you can get cheap films to watch but if they're crap what's the point?

I subscribe to Evo so I get a bit off the cover price and you'll get some freebies too.

Autoexpress is probably the cheapest. I'm currently subscribed but about to cancel. I tend to flick through it in about 10 minutes and don't find much worth reading. Woo, another road test of diesel MPV's. Great.

You can normally subscribe to American magazines (eg. Car and Driver, Road and Track) for around £1 an issue.

It seems the American magazine sector has a different business model to British mags and offers dirt cheap subscription prices.

I've been thinking that myself recently. Besides the spy shots and some group tests, (and they are repeating themselves with monotonous regularity now) the rest is filled with bland Korean boxes. With foglamps on. They always have their fecking foglamps on....

It's becoming a car magazine for people with no interest in cars besides MPG and how many storage compartments it has for the kids toys.
