Mods, apologies if this is in the wrong section but i wasn't really sure where to put it as it isn't model or area specific as such.

guys and girls, I'm going to be getting my barge LPG'd and am looking for advice/recommendations really of installers in the South East/Herts/London area. I don't mind travelling a bit but within a reasonable distance.

I'm thinking of using http://www.autogassolutions.co.uk/

anyone have any experience of them? I'd rather use someone that will take their time and do a thorough job as opposed to an in and out in one day place, although happy to be put right on this. Also they offer a 60 month warranty.

One that had experience of fitting a system to a 5 Series would be nice but not essential.

I have been considering the same myself, but note that the above give 24 month guarantee, where do they say 60 month??

The 60 month warranty comes with the platinum package.

Before you decide to go for a conversion, double check the maths on the cost savings you'd expect.


Everyone is complaining about the price of petrol, but LPG has gone up even more!

A more than 50% increase in the last 6 months, so the cost savings aren't anywhere near as good as what they were 2-3 years ago.

This is true and a valid point. However doing 30k a year in a 2 tonne V8 I'll take whatever savings I can
