Taking your P&J for an MOT and service

I'm sitting in the sun waiting for the MX-5 to go through the ritual of its MOT and service, and I'm on tenterhooks. I suppose it's like sending the missus for a check-up with the lady-doctor. You know it needs doing, but you don't like thinking about somebody else poking about in what's yours.

I agree, and I work at a dealership

I'm not a fan of them driving my car.. Not sure why.. They drive cars all day and can even find things that weren't noticed whilst servicing the car that only happened whilst actually driving, but I still do the road test myself.

I do like to watch them do the service/mot though, mainly because I also like having a look around under the car at the same time. This is also bad because I find things I want to buy/restore/paint whilst I'm doing it

I'm now waiting at the door of the workshop, watching them struggling to open the boot.
I just hope one of them recognise the PH smiley and take a bit more care.

I hate having my car MOT'd.
Failed on a snapped spring last year so agreed that they should fit a new one. Got the car back and they had done 17 miles in the car for no reason
