Breadvan / Exige or Z4M?

Which gets your vote?

I'm looking to get back into something fun which is a blend of my old E46 M3 and Elise 111S and have narrowed it down to the shortlist of 3. Won't be doing more than 6k miles a year with a mix of weekend use and 20 miles commute 2-3 a week.

Having had an M3 and Elise, I appreciate the merits (and downsides) of both marques. Not sure whether the Z3M is the right choice as most is quite leggy in terms of miles which may mean big bills. But there's something about the breadvan which makes it the most appealing of the 3...

Breadvan if it is an itch you need to scratch. It is the least likely to depreciate of the 3 so you can move it on and find something else if you get sick.

Really? Depends what exige you after I suppose.....
The S1s seem to be climbing in value. The s2s seem to hold their value around 25k, unless it's a nearly new model. Then I think depreciation will be a factor.
Went out with 2 friends in their exiges the other day, both S2s, both around 260bhp. They were incredibly good fun....
On the flipside, another friend has got a Z4M, and my sister has the 3.0 coupe. I love the coupe and my ideal daily driver would be the z4m coupe.

Obviously they are very different cars really, but If I was doing only 6000 per year, my money would be on the exige, with a few trackdays thrown in!

It would be the big clown-shoe for me definitely. I nearly went for one until the practical side of me stepped in. Given your shortlist that obviously isn't a concern of yours

Tough choice.

Z3MC - all time fav car and will be a true classic, Cheapest

Exige - well it's an Exige simply devine to drive, most expensive option

Z4M - i'd want the roadster, look stunning IMO, middle purchase price

Personally i'd go for an Exige ..... actually no a Z3MC errmmmmmmm no a Z4M ...

that is such a hard choice for me aswell !

I've been looking at the S2 Exige and Z4M, both are newer so there's still a bit to drop whereas the Z3M will have stabled but obviously servicing will reflect the age of the car.

I would go for the Exige every time personally
