Hi guys;
This is my housemates car, he had the accident a few week back now.
Nissa Micra 1.0 on a w reg.

Basicly he wants to get it road worthy again, it's not possible to claim on insureance as the over party was on the main road so he's been left liable.
It's cost him a extorsonate amount of money to get it towed back to the house, as well as the window you see over top of the 'accident area'.

He's not 'into' cars that much...
So he asked me to take a look, to me it looks like it's would be very costly to put -in anyway- right.

He's are some pictures i've took, any input on what the repair would involve, would be greatly apriciated biggrin.

It looks like the pannel could not be -ecomomicly- replaced as it seams that the side pannel roof and nearside side pannel is all one peice!
So it would have to be pannel beated i suspect?

The wheel arch is deformed slightly. (Maybe structural, i don't know)

The suspension seams reaonably fine; perhaps the two forward facing bars conecting it from the axle to the underside may be slightly bent, and need replacing?

To me it looks like it would need a new back axle, (with all the suspension took off and back on again, may mean high labour costs?)

The tyre seams pritty dangerous aswell...

Michelin on a old micra! yikes

(I know next to nothing, so my sugestions may be way way out).

Thanks in advance for any help guys biggrin

Throw it away and get something else, you could live with simply pulling the panel out, but replacing quite large parts of the rear suspension would cost far more than the car is worth

scrap it.

By a new micra for 500 quid.

Probably cost less than trying to get that one right.

Scrap. Weigh it in and put the £ towards the replacement.

There are plenty of decent ex granny Micras around for less than it would cost to fix this. This car will probably never be the same again if you try to fix it anyway.

Hi guys, house mates been reading all your replys from the other room.
We did have little conversation before about scraping it, because i knew it would be a silly amount to reapir.

Anyway dispite the pictures it is actually a very low mileage example! 29,000 on the clock, the interior is mint.
So sell for parts, and scrap then; 1.0 micra engines with 29k on worth much guys?
Anyway thanks for the replys.

I'm not sure how much he has to buy me a dictionary now his car's how it is frownboxedin

No one can spell that badly and not know it.

Most people with terrible spelling know it and can't be bothered to change it.

You don't say!?

Scrap it, or sell it to a take away driver, who would run it, as is, for another 5 years! (There's a few round here that look far worse!)

Sell the parts on eBay, weigh in the rest and buy a new one with the proceeds.

Shouldn't take more than a couple of spanners and screwdrivers to dis-integrate it.
