That's cheating!

People don't realise how much difference proper winter tyres make, not just in snow but in generla cold weather i.e. below 7 degrees centigrade

Tell you what though, our car park had turned into an ice rink this morning, and it's great fun, though I have to say I'm properly rubbish at drifting! My 328 just seems to want to spin no matter what I do. Our lasses corsa is much more controllable on the handbrake and I'm sure my old eunos was a lot easier to hang the tail out on!

I couldn't even get my previous BMW on my drive in snow, even though it was shod in nice new Pirelli summer tyres.

MY E34 got everywhere that no one eles did, up massively steep hills with a BMW mini spinning its tyres up there whilst I over took, through the country lanes.

On normal summer tyres, of course wink.

Sounds about right.

Mate got stuck somewhere up north around his mums place. Her Ford Ka had no problems.

Text to me read "These BMW ultimate driving machines? Not so ultimate when there's a little snow on the road".

I used to have an old 3 series
I rememered how bad it was in the snow when I passed a load of cars stuck behind a BMW on a little hill. I felt guilty and reversed to give him a tow up as he'd been stuck there for over half an hour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvCvrx3eKVM
