Quotation on success by Sir Henry Segrave?
Discussion
Hi, I'm trying to trace a quotation.
It goes something like...
'Why shouldn't you succeed. All it takes is a little more effort than the next fellow...'
I think it was in Autosport once a few years ago and I think it's from Sir Henry Segrave.
Can anyone point me towards the actual quote?
Thanks.
Andy

I wrote this quote inside my college binder in the mid-1980's, and I'm guessing I must have seen it from Autosport too if that is where it was printed. My recollection (can't find anywhere on internet) was a bit more expansive:
"Why shouldn't one make it to the top ... it is very crowded down at the bottom ... all it takes is a little more push, a little more attention to detail, than the average fellow is prepared to give."
I wanted it to be my life's mantra.
