New Renault 5 Williams?

I have seen this car near my work a couple of times now.

Looks lovely! Its RHD with a UK number plate but the only information i can see about a new Williams renault 5 is here:

which looks quite different, so what is this car? just a home grown car?

The owner has just put gold wheels on a standard 5 and a couple of Williams decals, those wheels do suit it mind.

When I was on the R5 training at Millbrook, most of us there of a certain age drew comparisons with the blue ones and the Clio Williams.

This. In fact Compomotive used it as a promo car last week on Facebook to advertise the fact the wheels were available for the new leccy version

I usually prefer the R5 in lighter colours, but that's a great colour combo. The Renault 5 Bleu d’Or looks good too but the above wheels look even better.

The R5 does look great but when you see one in the metal and next to other vehicles the height created by the batteries in the floor does make it look a bit odd. It is a great step in the EV world though for sure

My wife really wants a dark blue and I couldn't see the appeal. The original car changes everything!

Agree it looks ace. If I was a Renault dealer I’d be copying that tbh , it would help sell a few for sure.

I have an R5 in yellow. Having seen that “Williams” version, I want to change! Lovely.
