Not sure why there is no Comments thread associated with this PH article, so I will start my own.

To me the Anniversary Countach has always been the Peter Stringfellow of supercars and the least desirable Countach model. I don’t know why this view is supposed to have changed over recent years.

Don't think the view has changed in reality. Being charitable I guess Lambo had to do something to differentiate it, but ye gods it's ugly.

IIRC Horacio Pagani designed the ‘kit’. I think he was saving himself for the Zonda. One day… cloud9

The Anniversary model was gilding the already guilded lily.

Odd the article says £575k but the ad says POA.

I know it s a gargantuan sum but that seems less than I expected given the mileage.

I agree the bodykit does not add to the looks (do they ever) but it’s still an absolute showstopper.

I always disliked the anniversary but I feel in recent year I’m less inclined to dismiss it.

Pretty much all of them once wheel arches went on are dismissive of the original design. Ok, the anniversary loses the pinched at the waist look of the others but I think having seen a couple in real life they don’t really detract from the post lp400 look that much.

It's the rear bumper and 'stuck-on' plastic tail light surround that I really dislike on the anniversary model.
The earlier cars looked much better IMHO, even with the bolted-on fog lamp:

Always thought the anniversary was too fussy with the extra body kit, strakes and rear light shrouds. The 5000s was much better looking.
