Allianz un able to contact a person

Currently insured with them and 5 separate 15-30 minute attempts on “chat” trying to discuss my policy with a person as the web and bot options won’t do what I want.

Anyone else had issues or am I just unlucky?

I struggled to contact them a couple of years ago when I had accepted a quote online, but had a windscreen repair soon afterwards and before their policy started.

When I finally got through to a person to disclose it it was pretty obvious English wasn't her first language and insurance knowledge wasn't her strong suit. She asked me 3 times whose fault the windscreen damage was - WTF do you say to that?

Thankfully she finally spoke to someone a bit less gormless and all was well, but I was relieved when that policy expired without incident!

They jacked up their renewal by over 50% so I went back to my previous insurer.
