Full version of an older article about the exotics left to rot by Brunei's royal family.

Sadly no photos but still fascinating in a morbid kind of a way.

That was very interesting. I remember reading a thread about that collection a while ago on here. It would be fascinating to see the Sultans up to date collection.

An interesting comment after the article:

He's a hoarder. He's a hoarder with a budget. He's no different from those crazy old dudes on American Pickers, or ladies with 200 dead cats in horizontal freezers. He needs help, but he won't get it, because no one will tell him that he is crazy. The people who have the most knowledge of what's happening are the ones who enable it and benefit from it.
Seems to be the case.

I would love to see the exotics saved, but it is probably just as well they are where they are.

If they came back on to the market, it would be flooded and prices would crash.

I have often said that the difference between a "nutcase" and "eccentric" is the amount of money they have.

Would that be a bad thing?

What a waste - it's almost worth invading Brunei just to liberate the cars!

I love the harem of 40 women living next door. $20,000 a week each?! They must be very hot and whatnot.

Yes its a shame that they aren't used, but the family probably kept a few manufacturers ticking over in the bad years.
