When I read things like this (from another thread) it makes me think that a Court of Common Sense would be a great thing.

A written prosecution statement, a written defense statement, delivered electronically or by post to 100 jurors. A majority of 75%+ secures a win.

In the case linked, if 75%+ of the jurors agreed that the car should be removed, it should be so.

So you want a jury to enforce none existent laws to appease a bunch of NIMBYs?

How is a perfectly presentable VW Polo a 'carbuncle' or an 'eyesore'? 'Andy Nelson, head chef at the Castle Hotel' you are a fking idiot.

Not quite.

If 75%+ of the general population (the jurors) favour any resolution surely there is a case for the law to be amended.

Is that a Holden that pulls up in the background when they're talking to the Councillor?

Beware of angry mobs bearing flaming torches and pitchforks, bent on stringing up paediatricians and podiatrists from the nearest lamp post.

What does it matter if the car is there - if it wasn't then there would just be another car there instead!

All it needs is 3 big lads to push it away. I doubt the handbrake is particularly strong.

this made me laugh :- 'Mr Nelson said that it may not be causing an obstruction, but the way it is parked leaves no room for another car in front of it.'

yet in the video the Holden (i hope) starts backing in and in another shot there is clearly a blue car in front of it. does mr nelson actually live there ? smile

Unfortunately the general population tend to be morons, so I think most results would be unfavorable.

Odd thread resurrection.
So, has this car now been removed?

Would have been mildly amusing if the car had been re-taxed.
