Just passing the time browsing some cars as you do and came across a Maserati (a 3200 GT) that to me looks marvelous. For me it looks marvelous as it was specced in a colour that I have never seen before on the car. It could be called a brave choice by the buyer at the time but it is fantastic historically for a curvy GT car. The buyer then added a perfect contrasting interior for the seats (lighter) and dashtop (black) that some current Oak Green 911s match.

If the carpets were black not green I think this car would have been specced colour wise perfectly.

The car:

(I have no connection to the car or seller)

Those carpets are hideous laugh

Do love the external paint colour, but would question the overhead lighting choices in that series of pictures - very weird.

I would like to be kind and say the carpets might look a lot better in normal sunlight.

However, why is there what looks like a sunglasses case stitched into the passenger foot mat? right where their heels would go?

Got to agree that Maserati is stunning until you look at the carpets

Yep. With that fad, car dipped in tyre shine and can't be bothered to photograph it in the sunlight I'd wonder what the smoke and mirrors are covering up.

But that carpet - it's like the hills of Salzburg in there.

That is not "stitched in" the person taking the pics has just left it there for some strange reason.

If it were "part of the car" it would be "Maserati" branded.

I don't mind the carpets, and I imagine they're not so bright in real life.

I like it, even the carpets! Don't like the dealers description though. All waffle and repetition. You could write a better one in a quarter of the word count.

And they didn't bother to move it to get better photos. Just lazy.

Maybe specced to sample by Father Christmas to match one of his favourite Elf costumes.

Those carpets...that was a brave choice.

I am no fan of Maserati's...I would run a mile from that.

It is a nice colour though.

I absolutely adore that colour and I like the carpet colour too, I bet it looks fine in person without the weird filters they've applied to all the photos.

I like carpets other than black, I have blue carpets in one of my cars, and green in another

Back in the day I had a (very cheap) Rover 800 in JRG with stone beige seats with dark red piping and matching carpets and loved that too

Anything other than black really. For me a car that was close to perfection but ruined would be a great spec, great exterior colour, then Audi A1 spec coal bunker interior with silver "aluminium" or even worse naff carbon fibre trim.

Cars like this highlight for me the pointlessness of adverts that state 'best colour scheme' or similar as it's all down to personal opinion.

Dark paint, dark wheels, dark light clusters, gloss black plastic everywhere inside and out, gaudy yellow brake calipers - not for me thanks.

Each to their own and all that smile

Just because I'm curious, what is it that you don't like about Maseratis?

Well indeed, but I've seen that green in the flesh (and it looks much better!), and teh tan to my eyes set it off. Can't do much about the black bits on most modern cars unfortunately, maybe silver wheels might help.

Its the old Italian reliability thing that frightens me off them, I had a real good look around a Ghibli when my next door neighbor was looking after a relations brand new one (their new house...builder made the garage to small for the car) and the build quality didn't fill me with confidence.

A while later I asked how the guy was getting on with it, and he said the dealer has it more than him.
