Mods - is there any likelihood that this thread will be unlocked at some point?

I was watching with interest to see how this story played out and then, a while back, the OP posted that an update was forthcoming. By the time I got to check in again to see what the outcome was the thread had been put under "Moderators" and can't be viewed. I can only surmise that the mods feel some detail in the thread puts PH at risk of litigation, but it'd be good to get a high level overview of the outcome having waited for ages and then been teased with the suggestion that a conclusion was forthcoming.

I very much doubt it. The OP requested the thread be removed as part of the mediation with the dealership.
