Mates & Mates Popup

Did you know that you click the main "Mates" list on the menu it has the bin icon (delete a mate) but the "Mates Popup" option doesn't?

Is it supposed to?

As far as i can see, it only gives you a link to their profile...

Is it just a shortcut then?
