In the dozy drivers thread in "In the news", I submitted a new article, then wanted to change something. Clicked edit, fiddled a bit, clicked update. Found that it had created a new post with my entire previous one quoted.

What's up?

Edit: Something very wierd going on. Almost seems to work properly, but not quite. Use edit a few times, and stuff you just deleted comes back. And goes away. Spooky.

Except it's not working... "Something like this" is a line I've just tried to edit out of that post. "Edit: it works properly" is something I've also deleted.

But they keep coming back.

And going away again. Has the HTTP header that tells browsers not to cache pages gone awry?
