I posted a thread a while back on why there is no search button on mobile, and the ‘workaround’ from the admin team was to use/bookmark a dedicated search link.

I’m wanting to use the app, but without a search option it’s pointless. Why isn’t there a mobile search button in the app and web, the most basic of forum features?! Makes zero sense, it’s just a link to another page after all, but the ‘workaround’ won’t work to the app.

Make it make sense PH web team.

I did wonder if it was just me. Clearly not.

If I want to search on the mobile site, I have to go into Chrome's settings and select "Desktop site". But that is a global setting for all sites, so once done, I have to change it back again. It works, but it's a crap solution really.
