On occasions when two or three people start to take over an otherwise interesting thread with an unending spat involving endless re-quoting, can I suggest they get sidelined into a "Get a room" thread? Just for them. The rest of us can leave them to it.

We have appropriate locked rooms to put people in who are misbehaving - if you spot anything please report it to the mods (using the report button at top right of the post), and they will have a gander and see if action is needed.

Usually they get a bking forthwith, repeated quoting is a good way to get a talking to as well.

Thanks for those replies. There's a bit of a weeing contest in SOTW which really detracts from the usual chat and opinions. It might have died down now, I gave up about half an hour ago!

I think the trouble is that no one wants to back down once these get going in a very public thread. zzzzzzzzzzzz......
