Advert emails not working

Hi guys,

When I attempted to test the 'Email a seller' option - the emails never arrive. Is there a known issue or am I doing it wrong?

Thought id pop in on ur thread as im having email issues too, im trying to place an ad but its saying there is a problem verifying my email address?? But im clicking througj on the link from the email ph sent me!
Any help please anyone/mods?

I had that for ages as well then it sort of magically worked 12 hours later.

But nobody can email me. I had a friend test it as well - the emails just dont arrive.

I'm not sure this is related to the issues though as I noticed it when I put the advert live yesterday.

People can browse my ad, send an email, you get an 'Email sent' confirmation but the email never arrives - and the sender will have no idea it hasn't arrived and will instead think I simply didnt reply.

It may as well not be advertised if people think they are contacting me but in reality are not

Matt, just tried this myself and the email did not arrive.

I just have actually - yes It also now appears in the received section of the management area.

However it was sent to a previous email address, not the one thats showing in my user details.

I've wondered about this for a while.

I'm based in Belgium and have sent mails in response to various adverts in the past (after discovering how ruinously expensive the phonesafe numbers are when calling from overseas). I've never had a reply to one of my mails, but thought it was maybe because people see anything from overseas as a possible scam. Maybe my mails didn't arrive?

I too have sent a number of emails over the past few days looking for part ex's and have received no response.

Hi,
My advert is not generating any emails via the PH website. Even a test email I sent to myself has failed to arrive. The helpline seems to be too busy to handle any calls at the moment too!

We will do some further investigation into this, but all should be working properly.

I can see emails in the advert control panel, but they are being sent to a previous registered address not my current registered address

Its not just from classifieds and ads. If you try and email anybody from their profile link, it tells you something isnt right.

Ive tried emailing both Loon and Lefty and got the same problem.

Hmmm. I've had an advert up for a while and had no response.
Just tested for myself and no email received.

Ditto, was just going to come on and say this.

Someone has been trying to PM me with no success - and I also just tried emailing myself from my classified advert, and got nothing through - same for a friend who tried.

Funny how the two scam emails came through to me but nothing since!
