Mods - Why move my thread?

It was in Photography and video as it's a question about video taken on a camera! I couldn't have put it in a more perfect section! Yes I want to know what computer programme to use but the essential underlying theme is VIDEO TAKEN ON A CAMERA, hence the Photography and video section was chosen for my thread.

Quiet monday and just fancied a fiddle for no reason eh?

Here is my question, can you not see how it is Photography and Video related?

"I have .mov (quicktime?) movie files taken on my camera, some in 1080p HD, some 720pHD what software can you recommend to burn them on to DVD.

Can both 1080 and 720 films be put on the same DVD?

I use a mac and would prefer some free software! Cheers"

I've moved this as you can see, no need to raise a separate thread really just press the report button to bring it to our attention.

I'll go find your thread and move it back for you.

It's not only the mods that can move threads, we do have a few members that also have this ability, not saying it was one of them on this occasion but sometimes we do a bit of juggling between us on occasions to get it right.

thanks, I just posted in the most appropriate section where people who would have the knowledge I was after would post.

I reaslise my question kind of over lapped two sections but it was still primarily a camera and video question, hence it was in that section.

Moving threads seems to be a hit and miss affair. For example in the general gassing forum there is a thread asking about Honda Civic Type Rs, surely this is a prime candidate for moving to the honda section, but no its 4 pages long and still in general gassing.

Big AL Just interested in why my thread regarding the whereabouts of the HSV Monaro forum was moved and closed. Apart from scrolling back to find the link kindly provided by another member I still can't see how to accesss this forum through PH.
