Why can't I join PistonHeads?

In a desperate attempt to prolong my procrastination before I do more work, I ventured onto Facebook and found PistonHeads has two Facebook sites - an official one, and a regular one. Now, the official one requires you get approval to join (which I did not get ), and the regular one is run by Garlick and co, so seems legit too. What's the difference?

And more importantly, how can I join the secret one? Is there a custard based initiation, or some sort of MX5 owning requirement?

Not being a prolific user of Facebook I wouldn't really know, but surely the one run by Garlick and Co is more likely to be the official one?

Don't be silly. Of course he hasn't. My mommy told me I wasn't allowed to meet strangers from the internet. Though I do see how that may be an issue

I have been meaning to go to a PH meet for a while now, and since having moved down south from Scotland, that's now more feasible...

Why would you join Pistonheads on Facebook when you are a member of the actual Pistonheads real genuine website and are posting on it right now?

As far as I was aware, there's only one group. There's also a PH Page as well, though, which doesn't require "joining".

Given the former has 3 1/2 thousand members and the latter 8 1/2 thousand "like", and I don't know your real name...how the hell should I know

Yes, you've explained it better than I have. I just saw it and was curious to see what was on there as the blurb said it was an addition to this site. Just curiosity that made me post this.

There is only one official, authentic PistonHeads Facebook page and it doesn't require approval to join.

That's a Facebook "group". Facebook has made those obsolete and instead we're encouraged to use "pages" instead.

That's ours as well, but like I said above it's a group and not a page. Facebook is making groups obsolete.
