FAO Mods/Admin - Porsche forum grouping

Any chance of splitting the forum groups into sub-groups by car type?
eg Boxter, Cayman, Carerra etc?

As much as I like to read about a GT3 sump problem, I'd rather be able to view the most relevant topics all in one place eg Cayman and then browse a Carrera group separately.

Am sure that other makes would want the same.

Can this be done?

It used to be like that, no one ever posted in the smaller forums, so they were merged.

I actually quite like seeing how the other half lives.

Spare a thought for the Ferrari boys, they're lumped in with Masarati AND Lamborghini!

I prefer to have everything in 1 Porsche forum then having to check 3 different ones. Don't really like the setup at 911uk

I like the current flat format too.

The number of messages really isn't very high, and I quite enjoy reading about other peoples' experiences in different motors without having to click through a load of sub-forums.

Especially as I don't have any real axe to grind for or against any Porsche model.

I can quickly work out what I want to read from the titles. Usually, anyway!

I have no problem and agree it’s interesting to read about other people’s cars, will soon stop if it not.

And there was me thinking Stevo that you would want one group for those who drive around bends and another group for those who only drive in straight lines

Not enough traffic here to warrent that. 911uk is really quiet in the GT2/GT3 forums.

As above for me too.
It's nice to just browse everything when entering the forum.
I'm interested in all things Porsche and anything amusing.
I wouldn't want to have to trawl a load of sub-forums to find it though.

Plus, it would really slow the forum down and kill it a bit.

Another vote for leaving it as is. As well as having a general interest in the whole brand, a lot of the issues with the current cars tend to be quite common across the model range so it is more informative to have all the threads in the one place.
