How about a 'neutral' coloured skin?

When my colleagues recognise the 'Pistonheads' colour scheme on my web browser (despite scrolling to hide the header!) then I start to think that maybe I'm on here too much!?

And before people get 'holier than thou', I do my work but the nature of the job means that there's always occasional downtime.

So... how about another skin to be a bit more subtle!?

Yep Big Blue is best. Maybe a 'not blue' option? I know I'm being VERY picky and I realise you've got to have a 'Pistonheads look and feel' for marketing purposes

I would suggest you use Firefox and assign a custom CSS style sheet to pistonheads (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/).
It would allow you to change elements of the theme to suit your needs. this would be easy enough for a moderate nerd.
A full re-skin of the forums is not an easy task (as you could well imagine) and frankly we're quite busy as it is with new things...
If you want a hand with the custom css thing, drop me a pm or something.

I've done a bit of CSS and wasn't aware of this add-on. Thanks I'll give.it a go.

Sorry, I meant you should try alternate your theme from Big Blue to Smiley to Classic.

Thinking about it, it's probably not what you're after but at least it's not the usual blue screen that your colleagues are seeing over your shoulder.
