Thread deleted in Jaguar forum

Hi,
My thread appears to have been deleted in the Jaguar forum? Apparently I turned it into an advertisement?
I refrained from posting a link to my classified ad ON PistonHeads because I wasn't sure of the rules, I was told that if someone asks for a link to it, that would be okay and as such someone did and then you removed it?
A little harsh I feel especially considering it's not like it was a link to any other site other than your own! Surely generating traffic to your own classifieds section is good thing? Alternatively, why not just delete the offending post rather than the entire thread?
I started that thread so I could sing the praises of two companies who have been exceedingly helpful and professional, not as a view to use it to sell my car.
Oh, and you might want to check how the classifieds section pulls data from your database when creating a new ad, twice now when creating a new ad when clicking on the link the page has 'hung' for a good few seconds then eventually presented me with the page to fill out the necessary details however, the details are already filled in with someone else's information, home address, email, phone number etc.

Sorry but the rules of posting clearly state you are not allowed to advertise in the forums, regardless of what anyone says the rules are there for a reason. IIRC there was also a mention from you about make me an offer!
Also your first post was edited for an N&S issue the more members then divulged (by way of location by other members) the company in concern.

Even to your own classifieds section which is possible one of your main sources of revenue alongside the ads?

As for the name and shame in my opinion is was more of a name and 'no comment', I don't see much wrong in that? Guess I'm mistaken.
Regardless, you should look into how your site does DB lookups when creating a new ad in the classifieds section, if I ever have to create a new ad and it comes up with someone else's details again I may just give them a call and see how they feel about it.

Any N&S issues even by association, on this site are routinely removed.
It has in the past cost Haymarket hundreds of thousands of pounds, all as a result of members typing their comments and then walking away from the keyboard to let someone else to foot the cost, if you have a problem with the services of another company then take it up with them.

Thanks for the comment about the old DB classifieds albeit a little out of context here, if you find a problem in relation to raising ads then please speak directly about it by raising a separate thread in website feedback.
