Giving stuff away for free - breaks rules on advertising?

As per title - am I allowed to put a post in the BMW forum advertising some BMW bits, free to whoever can collect? They're taking up room in my garage and I can't be arsed with fleaBay.

I'd imagine it's ok, IIRC a couple of cars have been given away free on PH so a few car bits is bound to be fine?.

I gave away some memory cards a few years back including one to a mod so I presume it's ok
