YouTube dedicated area for PH

Does anyone think it would be an idea to add a YouTube forum to link videos, success stories, recommended subscriptions etc?

It is growing at an alarming rate and I think it could be a welcome section to the forum.

How can you develop the thread to do YouTube justice. It's hard to follow and makes sporadic appearances unless you're subscribed to it.

I call for a proper YouTube forum.

PH are on YouTube btw.

But PistonheadsTV was basically rubbish. Subscribe to Pistonheads on YouTube, and get updates as they come in, not sporadic find when you are loitering somewhere on the fora. I haven't tried on my computer,mbut on the iPad, the TV page just has blah blah publishing, or some such. No video to be seen.

Oh, I agree. Thought you were talking about the ever woeful PH tV on the website. Will check out the YT channel. Could be an idea to have a link to the YT channel on the TV link on the homepage.

This is where we currently upload all of our news videos. In the future we hope to add more video content but this is a discussion that is yet to reach a conclusion.

Not really, because surely all the content is still hosted on youtube servers. The 'strain' on PH servers will be no greater than any other sub forum.

That's /still/ serverd up by youtube, so no strain on PH servers. It would, however, make pages slow to load for users still.

On some websites you get a still frame and then it starts to load/play. Perhaps this could be done?
