I have had a post removed saying I there are no advertisments allowed on PISTONHEADS, how come the TVR I have just sold was bought off this site and the MX5 the same, bought off Pistonheads.
How can I tell somebody who would like a really good motor for little money, were it is, you are stopping a fellow member from getting a very good car. I am on the forum and have posts going back 4 years I am not a dealer.
If I had told members that my car was for sale like others on forum, I would expect the post not to be stopped and to have sold to a fellow member, where is the differance in telling them where car is.

Thems the rules and always have been. And in the terms an conditions.
It's to stop the forum being filled with adverts when there is a perfectly good classifieds system...
I've bought and sold lots of interesting stuff through the classifieds.
Nothing wrong with someone else highlighting an interesting item in the classified in the forum but you can't promote your own ads

This! When you bought your TVR & MX5 did you look on the forums or through the classifieds? It's what the classifieds are there for and stops the forums getting clogged up with every T,D & H from advertising their wares - especially given most people have to pay for their adverts.KENHIND said:

Post links to websites or adverts for commercial or personal gain. All advertising on PistonHeads must be through the normal channels.
All adverts or links to adverts posted in any forum will be deleted when seen/reported by routine we make no exceptions to these rules for any reason.

TVR GONE,
The Chimeara has now gone, ref to a removed listing, pwd25 got it right, If the article was misleading it was not intentional, I had said the car was been exchanged on Sun, this to me means the car was sold just waiting to finalise documentation, I was trying to let people know, I could not mention garage name due to advertising!! where the car is going, again this is a great car and anybody wanting a sound motor with all TVR issues sorted will get a good cheap car.
If I had advertised it there would have been no doubt peole saying how cheap, whats wrong with it, as I have seen mentioned on the TVR site and others I may add. There are a lot of people out there voicing opinions when they are not in receipt of the correct information, I am in favour of an open site and people have a right to their opinion.
I am more than willing to pass on where the car is if anyone is wanting a solid car for little money, and will give its spec.
The garage I sold car to is on Pistonheads and it may appear in the adds, I am looking also with interest to what it may be sold for !!
This is not a rant to decent pistonhead members, and I have recieved some very good information from most members, I will miss the TVR but was not getting the attention it deserved 750 miles in 3 years.
