Alright chaps.

We've just brought out a new tool for your benevolent moderators to use.
It's the function to merge one thread into another.

This will update your "my stuff" entries to point to the new thread if you posted in the old (to be merged from) thread.

So if a thread you were in vanishes and one you were not in appears. Don't worry its not witch craft, it's just the mods.

This means on the occasion when say, 2 comment threads get made about a news story we can merge them into each other (posts will appear in chronological order in the new thread) and continue on our way.

We will also update the last update Date to the time at the time of the merge to let you know that something has changed in the content of the thread.

At long last. Something we've needed here for years.

Should stock a lot of repost slagging - if the mods are quick enough.

Yes, but, but, which craft?

Has it got anything to do with felt?

Cue the 'felt' jokes, ie, where do you get felt, have you gone to get felt today? etc, etc.

Editing your original post? And the posts of others?

There is a word for that but I'm too polite.

(By the way, 'professional' is not the word.)

Amateur more like..............although I too can think of others in a more Anglo-Saxon vein.

Sorry chaps I was just playing with the nerd tools. No offence meant. Merely trying to sweep my mistake under the rug in an obvious way. You can guess how well I did in GCSE English...
