I am interested to know why this thread was removed?

It provided a a link to some interesting research into speed cameras etc and the Author was inviting questions. The publication of the report initiated a good thread about speed cameras, and I cannot see why access to the original report would be detrimental.
The speed camera debate on ph is often fueled by anecdote and passion, someone who has looked at and analysed the actual data should be welcomed.

If you're saying that the thread was titled Speedcamerareport.co.uk that may have been one of the reasons why is was deleted as you cannot access the thread you just keep getting redirected to the site.
