removing threads from "my stuff"

Is it possible?

I just deleted my post from a thread because I no longer want to be updated on the reasons why "a Sierra is better than a Subaru". (I get paid to read less dull things!).
Unfortunately deleting a post does not remove the thread from "my stuff".
