Is email working or not?

I have emailed two PHers in the last few weeks, one of them had indicated he was OK with people emailing for advice. The other specifically invited me to email. I have heard from neither, which leads me to believe that the messages may not have got through.

So is email working or not?

In my experience it works eventually, but first-class post is normally faster!
